Meet Our Pilates Instructors

Meet the incredible Pilates instructors who bring The Wellness Boutique to life. Think strong cues, calming energy, a little spice, and a lot of heart. Each one brings their own magic to the studio, and they’re all here to help you move well, feel supported, and leave class feeling better than when you walked in.

Gené Schesser, Reformer Pilates Instructor at The Wellness Boutique, Burleigh Heads

Gené Schesser

Gené’s Pilates story started in the world of full-time dance, where keeping her body happy (and injury-free) was non-negotiable. But it was her time on the front desk at TWB — watching the community, the connection, and the way women loved their classes — that truly pulled her in. As a teacher, Gené is all about movement that feels safe, sustainable and deeply grounding. Her classes blend thoughtful strength with nervous-system support, inviting breath, presence and trust back into the body. Align has her heart, Strong fuels her fire, and you’ll often hear a cheerful heads-up when things are about to get “spicy” (said with a grin). Consistency over intensity, always.

Aimee Gould, Reformer Pilates Instructor at The Wellness Boutique, Burleigh Heads

Aimee Gould

Aimee was drawn to Pilates for its mindfulness — and stayed for the people. Her much-loved Friday Align classes are a beautiful mix of breathwork, mobility and simple-but-spicy movement that somehow sneaks up on you. Expect gentle reminders to unclench your jaw, soften your shoulders and breathe a little deeper — Aimee has a knack for helping bodies (and minds) let go. Outside the studio, she’s committed to her own practice and daily beach walks, keeping things grounded between teaching blocks.

Samantha Robinson. Reformer Pilates Instructor at The Wellness Boutique, Burleigh Heads

Samantha Robinson

Samantha discovered Pilates through yoga, but once she stepped onto the reformer, it was game over. What she loves most is the mind–body connection — slow, controlled movement that builds strength, balance and confidence from the inside out. As a teacher, Sam lives for progress: the wobbly beginnings, the added dumbbells, and the big post-class smiles. A proud Strong devotee, her classes are high-energy, varied and never boring… even when the “last six” turns into twelve. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her in the ocean — her go-to reset.

Amelia Stubbs

Amelia was hooked on Pilates from the feeling — the shakes, the focus, and watching strength build over time. She loves creating classes that flow beautifully while still delivering a solid burn, always with a sense of fun and connection. Align and Sculpt are her sweet spot, offering the perfect blend of mindful movement and strength-building in a supportive space. Her wellness philosophy is refreshingly real: not perfect, just balanced — move your body, nourish it well, and don’t forget to rest.

Kiah Hartley

Kiah fell for Pilates because of how it made her feel — calm, centred and quietly strong. A moving meditation, really. Teaching gives her the chance to share that feeling with others, supporting people through all stages of life with care, inclusivity and genuine warmth. Align is her happy place, where tuning in is the whole point and progress comes from presence, not pressure. Kiah is a forever-student of movement and makes time for her own practice as an act of self-care — because you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Ali Wilcox, Reformer Pilates Instructor at The Wellness Boutique, Burleigh Heads

Ali Wilcox

Ali’s Pilates journey began through recovery, after completing a 100km trail run and injuring her knee. Thankfully, her physio also happened to be a Pilates instructor — who gently (okay, firmly) nudged her toward teaching. What she loves most about Pilates is the variety, and watching clients become stronger, more mobile and more confident over time. Strong is her sweet spot, where she gets creative with props and builds deeper connection through smaller class sizes. Outside the studio, she resets with beach walks or national park hikes, usually followed by a matcha. Her guiding philosophy? Progress over perfection — because consistent, thoughtful movement builds real strength over time.
